Primary Bathroom — “Bali Zen”
Inspired by the serenity of Bali, this bathroom was designed to evoke a calm, beachside retreat that engages the senses and soothes the nervous system. Pebble tiles beneath the tub and on the shower floor mimic the grounding sensation of walking along the shore, creating a subtle psychosensory connection to nature.
A handcrafted wooden light fixture imported from Lithuania casts soft, dappled shadows that promote relaxation and balance. Green vanities, organic-shaped mirrors, and lush plants bring in natural elements, while textured wall tiles offer gentle tactile grounding.
The result: a tranquil, spa-like sanctuary designed to restore peace, presence, and sensory harmony.
Guest Bathroom — “Chefchaouen, Morocco”
Inspired by the family’s love of travel, this guest bathroom was reimagined to capture the essence of Chefchaouen, Morocco — the “Blue Pearl” of the Mediterranean. Soft blue limewash walls create a cloudlike effect and provide a nontoxic, soothing finish that envelops guests in calm.
Layered lighting at varying heights adds depth and atmosphere, transforming the space into an intimate, transportive retreat. The former medicine cabinet was redesigned into an arched niche, adding architectural warmth and cultural character. To stay within budget, the existing shower was preserved and paired with Moroccan-inspired tile that complements the original finishes beautifully.
